I purchased a General Electric side by side refrigerator from Lowes about 2 years ago with their extended warranty and have been waiting for months to get repaired.

It has plastic shelves that are cracked.  They said at first these were not covered because they are not functional items.

After many phone calls to both GE service and Lowes, they decided that they will be replaced.

Try putting something in a refrigerator with out a shelf!!!   The main problem is that the interior liner that seals the freezer is cracked and is not a separate part that can be replaced.  I was assured that this would be replaced or repaired.

Their customer service person, Cricket, called me yesterday and said that they would not replace it, but give me a discount on buying a new one.  The discount would depend upon what I would buy.

This is not acceptable.  I would like to hear from anyone with like experiences from people who have Lowes' extended warrantees or GE warrantees Are there grounds for a class action suit against both Lowes and GE warranty companies?

You can e-mail me.
