I needed a one way rental from SFO to SEA.  I used Priceline and specified my Pickup and Drop Off cities.

Then the mistake -- I used the "bid" option.  Priceline doesn't allow one way rentals  --  I learned later  --  but they give you screens anyway to complete the bid process, which I followed.

The rental "contract" looked like my trip so I booked it.  Wrong!  It was a "return to city of origin" rental!!

When I realized this, I contacted Priceline.  They refused to cancel the agreement and refund my money.  So I lost $260 and had to go elsewhere to rent the car I needed for our vacation.
