The problem is the people
complaining do not know their own membership.
They don't even use their membership,
and when they do decide to it's in such unreasonably short notice the
agents cannot secure their condo destination request and they end up in
a hotel which is not a core benefit of the club.
They would know this if they read
the contract that they signed.
However you still save 5% on any
hotel booked. Not a big saving. The condos, cruises, and packages are
where it's at.
Someone's complaint on here said,
"Go to a local travel agent, they're free".
Shows how much they know. How would they put dinner on the table if it's
free. They charge commission, where as Great
Escapes charges annual dues and are not commission driven.
The annual dues are not even
required. If you have to go inactive, you can. It's a lifetime
membership whether you pay your dues or not. They will tell you there is
a reinstatement fee, but someone from Great Escapes will call later with
specials they run every year to reinstate inactive members. They will
often waive reinstatement fees and take $100.00 off the dues.
They will also update you on recent
benefits and services added. This is where you have the chance to have
them hold your hand if need be to show you step by step how to book and
utilize their website and membership services.
So you see, don't let a couple
hecklers ruin the game.
I hope this may be of some help to
someone out there.
